10/8/11 Lincoln Speedway Since Selinsgrove was done for the season we decided to venture down to Lincoln Speedway for a final race of the season. We haven't been there since we ran midgets there in 2000. We started out by making some minor changes to make the car more driveable around the 3/8 mile Lincoln Speedway. We used warmups as our basis for the rest of the night. After warmups we only made some minor changes. Thanks to Duane drawing pill #4 he was starting on the pole for the 2nd heat race. The heat race went real well. Duane led all 10 laps, but was challenged by the 12 for several laps, but in the end won his heat race.

Due to a straight up inversion Duane started 2nd in the feature next to Nikki Young. Nikki got the jump and he and Duane raced hard for the first couple of laps. Then the gremlins came. Something began to happen to the power steering making it tough to turn the car. Duane held on and finished 20th. Not the way we wanted to end the season but the car is in one piece and we got a chance to venture away from Selinsgrove for a weekend.

7/9/11 I'll start with the makeup feature. It was Duane and Brian Nornhold starting on the front row. They took the green and came of turn 4 side by side. I'm not sure when Duane took the lead but he led until lap 19. We survived through several cautions/restarts and the red flag too. On the last caution/restart (which was unnecessary since Cody was definitely going to make it to the pit entrance and not stop on the track) the tires had gone away and Blane was able to get past and then we slid back to 6th spot. All in all a great run.

For the regular show the track was gone and we just weren't able to go anywhere. Finished 6th in the heat which qualified us for the feature, but outside the inversion. Started 16th and really just hung on for 17th.

7/23/11 Saturday night was extremely hot. We've been trying some different things to make the car feel better and be faster. Duane and Matt Borland started on the front row. Matt won and Duane finished second. For the feature Duane and Brian Nornhold started on the front row, again. They've been doing this a lot lately. Duane was able to get the lead down the front stretch and led for a while. There seems to be two grooves at Selinsgrove lately, the outside fence and the inside fence. A couple of feet off either and it's not the fast way around. Duane was running the top but wasn't fast enough to hold onto the lead and slipped back, then he found the bottom and started getting quicker. A caution to bunch up the field would have definitely helped and I think he could have passed a couple of cars. But for a change there were no cautions so we ended up 9th.

7/2/11 Another time trial night. We were hoping for better results than the last one. Duane was one of the last cars on the track for time trials Saturday night. He ended up timing 11th. That put him starting 3rd in the heat race. The start didn't go as planned and ended up running 3rd in the heat. Now that put us starting 11th in the feature. We made a last minute decision on tires and apparently it wasn't the right one. Duane pulled in after 12 laps.

6/18/11 Saturday night was one of those nights. BTW Duane is ok, a little sore from the impacts but that's it. The car, seat, hans, and other safety features did what they were intended to do.

We started out with a good car and timed 3rd. Probably one of Duane's best qualifying efforts. That put him starting 6th in the 3rd heat. The track was a little rough and we didn't have enough forward bite so between the two Duane was able to bring it home in 5th. With the inversion pill pull, that put him starting 4th in the feature. Approximately half a lap was made in the feature, I believe the rock screen is salvageable.

5/14/11 The night started out pretty good. We had that practice session on Wednesday and Duane seemed to like the changes we made so we were optimistic about tonight. Duane qualified 21st which put him starting on the pole for the heat race. He led about half the heat before Cannon passed him, he finished 2nd.

That put us starting 17th in the feature. Since we were starting back so far we tried another shock. During the red flag on lap 10 we put the old shock back on to compare the difference. He seemed to like the last shock and started to get faster. But then a URC car blew a tire and stopped in the middle of turns 1 and 2 and we couldn't miss him. Ended up with a bent up car.

4/30/11 Week 2 finally under our belt. We went back to our original set-up for the heat race and it went pretty well we ended up 4th again after starting in the back. That's what you get for missing a couple of weeks and not being handicapped. Anyway, after finishing 4th in the heat that put us starting 12th in the feature.

The feature didn't go as we had planned. Not that it went bad, it just didn't go good either. We started 12th and finished 13th. Even with 2 red flags we weren't able to make many changes when we had to fix a leaking rear-end instead. Looking forward to the upcoming Saturday.

4/23/11 We finally got the opportunity to race. All in all the weekend went pretty well. This was the first race out for a new car and new motor. In the heat race Duane was able to come from the back up to 4th place. That put him starting 10th in the feature. For the feature we attempted to compensate for a heat race issue but the car didn't react as we suspected taking us from a good handling car in the heat to one that didn't handle so well in the feature. So, Duane pulled in early giving us a 12th place finish. We learned something about the new car that should help us out when the track dries out. We're looking forward to this weekend and some nice weather.

4/20/11 Between the weather so far and illnesses we haven't raced since Port Royal. Hopefully Saturday's weather will cooperate.

2/19/11 We ran Port Royal Speedway last weekend to get the bugs out. The night didn't go as planned, we experienced some motor problems that prevented us from running the feature. But, we plan to be at Selinsgrove Speedway this coming weekend if the weather cooperates.

2/24/11 Visit the cars at Selinsgrove Mall this week.

I've updated/added some item in the for sale section.
